Description
Overview
Retinol Shot Tightening Booster is a Korean-formulated eye cream built around 0.1% retinol, buffered with soothing peptides and panthenol so it can be used on the most delicate skin on your face.
It targets the four things people actually notice around their eyes: fine lines and crow's feet, puffiness, dark circles, and a loose-looking eye contour. Five actives, every concentration printed on the tube.
We publish the percentages. Most eye creams don't.
You will usually see "contains retinol" with no number attached — which can mean anything from a meaningful dose to a trace amount added for the label. Every active concentration in this formula is disclosed on the packaging and below. That is the single most useful thing a skincare brand can tell you, and it is the reason to choose this over an unlabelled alternative.
Why the eye area needs its own formula
The skin around your eyes is the thinnest on the entire body — roughly a fraction of the thickness of cheek skin, with fewer oil glands to buffer active ingredients. It is also the most mobile area of the face, blinking tens of thousands of times a day.
That combination is why the eye area shows age first, and why a face retinol is often too aggressive for it. This formula pairs a moderate retinol concentration with panthenol and a peptide complex specifically to make retinol tolerable in a place where most retinol is not.
What's Inside
| Active | Concentration | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Retinol | 0.1% | The most researched anti-wrinkle ingredient in cosmetic science. Softens the look of fine lines and supports skin renewal. |
| Niacinamide | 3% | Brightens the look of the eye contour and helps even the appearance of tone. |
| Panthenol Peptides | 1% | Soothing and conditioning — the buffer that makes retinol workable here. |
| Caffeine | 0.5% | A long-standing eye-care ingredient used to help the eye area look less puffy. |
| Eye Peptide Complex | — | Supports a firmer-looking eye contour and diminishes the appearance of fine lines. |
| Hyaluronic Acid | — | Draws in moisture and helps maintain suppleness. |

Why 0.1% is the interesting number
Many eye creams sit around 0.01–0.05% retinol. At 0.1%, this is a meaningful concentration for the eye area — enough to do real work, which also means the introduction guidance below genuinely matters. This is not a product to start using twice daily on day one.
What It Targets
| Concern | The actives doing the work |
|---|---|
| Fine lines & crow's feet | Retinol + eye peptide complex |
| Puffy eye bags | Caffeine |
| Dark circles | Niacinamide + caffeine |
| Loose eye contour | Retinol + peptide complex |
Formulated for the Eye Area
- Low-irritation retinol — selected for tolerability on thin skin
- No heavy oils — won't sit greasy or migrate into the eye
- Fast absorption — layers cleanly under moisturiser, SPF and makeup
- Soothing buffer system — panthenol peptides included specifically to offset retinol's harshness
- Precision applicator tip — places product exactly along the orbital bone
- Dermatologically tested formula
How To Use
Apply a small amount — roughly a grain of rice per eye — to clean, dry skin. Pat gently along the orbital bone, the ridge you can feel beneath your eyebrow and below your lower lash line. Do not apply to the eyelid or the lash line itself.
Follow with moisturiser. Use at night.
Introducing retinol — please read this part
Retinol requires an adjustment period. Skin that has never used it commonly experiences some dryness, flaking or mild sensitivity in the first weeks. This is well documented and expected, not a sign the product is wrong for you — but rushing it is the most common reason people abandon retinol.
| Stage | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Weeks 1–2 | Two nights per week |
| Weeks 3–4 | Every other night |
| Week 5 onward | Nightly, if your skin is comfortable |
If irritation appears, reduce frequency rather than stopping entirely. If it persists, discontinue use.
Sun protection is not optional with retinol
Retinol increases the skin's sensitivity to sunlight. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily while using this product and for a week after stopping. Skipping this both risks irritation and undoes the visible progress you are working toward.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 0.1% retinol too strong for the eye area?
It is a meaningful concentration — higher than many eye creams, which often sit between 0.01% and 0.05%. This formula buffers it with panthenol peptides and a soothing complex specifically for eye-area tolerability. Introduce it gradually using the schedule above rather than starting nightly.
Can I use this with my regular retinol serum?
Generally you should not layer two retinol products in the same area. If you use a face retinol, use this instead around the eyes rather than in addition.
Can I use it with vitamin C?
Yes, but conventionally on opposite schedules — vitamin C in the morning, retinol at night. Using both at once increases the chance of irritation without a clear benefit.
Will it help dark circles?
It depends what is causing them. Dark circles from shadowing or uneven tone may look brighter with niacinamide and caffeine. Dark circles caused by underlying bone structure or genetics are not something any topical cream addresses — and any product claiming otherwise is overselling.
How long until I see a difference?
Hydration changes are typically noticeable early. Changes in how fine lines and firmness look are gradual and build over weeks of consistent use. Retinol is a slow ingredient by nature. Individual results vary.
Why does my skin flake when I start?
That is the well-documented retinol adjustment period. Reduce to every third night, apply moisturiser afterward, and build back up. It typically settles within a few weeks.
Do I apply this before or after moisturiser?
Before. Cleanse, apply the eye cream to the orbital bone, then follow with moisturiser.
Can I put it on my eyelids?
No. Apply along the orbital bone — the bony ridge around the eye socket. Product naturally migrates slightly upward with warmth, so applying directly to the lid risks getting it into the eye.
Do I really need sunscreen?
Yes. Retinol increases photosensitivity, and sun exposure is the primary driver of the visible aging you are treating. Daily broad-spectrum SPF is what makes retinol worth using.
Can I use it with the Korean Deep Collagen ampoule?
Yes. A common approach is the ampoule across the face and this eye cream around the eye area. Introduce one new product at a time so you can tell what your skin is responding to.
